iZotope VocalSynth 2

iZotope VocalSynth 2 is a creative vocal effects plug-in that turns a voice into vocoder, talkbox, robotic or harmonised sounds. VocalSynth blends five vocal engines with seven stompbox effects and plays them in Auto, MIDI or Sidechain mode, for producers and singers who want new vocal textures rather than a clean mix. It runs in a DAW on Windows 10 or 11 and on macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Intel and Apple silicon Macs.

What is iZotope VocalSynth 2?

VocalSynth 2 is the current version of VocalSynth, first released in May 2018 and now at version 2.7.0 (May 2025). It comes in one edition.

Five vocal engines

• Biovox: shapes the vocal tract, with formants, vowels and nasality
• Vocoder: vocoder sounds
• Compuvox: robotic, bit-crushed tones
• Talkbox: talkbox sounds
• Polyvox: harmonies and doubling

• Auto mode with real-time pitch correction and harmonies
