Ableton Live 11 Suite is the previous version of Ableton's full DAW edition, with comping, MPE support and Max for Live.

Ableton Live 11 Suite is the full edition of Ableton Live 11, the previous major version of Ableton’s digital audio workstation. It suits producers who want Live 11, or who run older computers: it works on macOS 10.13 High Sierra (Intel) and Windows 10 build 1909. Ableton’s shop now lists Live 12 only, so for the newest version see Ableton Live 12 Suite.

What is Ableton Live 11 Suite?

Live 11 came out on 23 February 2021. The Suite edition includes Max for Live and the full Suite set of instruments and effects. The latest Live 11 release is 11.3.43, from 14 October 2025.

Ableton Live 11 vs 12

Live 12 adds MIDI Tools (Generators and Transformations), the Meld synth, Roar, Granulator III, Stacked Detail Views and Sound Similarity Search. It also needs a newer system: macOS 11.7.10 and, on Windows, a CPU with AVX2.

Choose Live 11 if your computer cannot meet those requirements. Choose Live 12 Suite if you want the current version and its new tools.
