iZotope Neutron 5 is the current version of iZotope’s mixing suite: one channel-strip plug-in with 10 modules, each also available as its own plug-in, and an AI-powered Mix Assistant that suggests a starting point for your tracks. It is for producers and engineers who mix in a DAW or video editor. Neutron 5 runs on Windows 10 or 11 and on macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Intel and Apple silicon Macs.

What is iZotope Neutron 5?

Neutron 5 was released in October 2024 and is now at version 5.2.0. It follows Neutron 4 (2022) and Neutron 3 Advanced (2019).

Is there a Neutron 5 Advanced?

No. iZotope sells two editions: Neutron 5 and Neutron 5 Elements. The full Neutron 5 sold here is the top edition, in the place the Advanced edition held in Neutron 3, with every module, full control of each one, and Visual Mixer and Relay. Elements is built around Mix Assistant.

What’s included

The Neutron 5 plug-in with Mix Assistant; 10 component plug-ins (Clipper, Compressor, Density, Equalizer, Exciter, Gate, Phase, Sculptor, Transient Shaper and Unmask), for 11 plug-ins in all; and Visual Mixer and Relay for level, pan and width across the session. Unmask and Sculptor help fix masking between tracks and shape each one’s tone.
