iZotope Ozone 9 Advanced is a previous version of iZotope's mastering suite (2019), with Master Rebalance and a standalone app. Ozone 12 is current.

iZotope Ozone 9 Advanced is a previous version of iZotope’s mastering suite, released in October 2019; the current version is iZotope Ozone 12 Advanced. It brings more than a dozen mastering modules, the Master Assistant and the new Master Rebalance and Low End Focus together in one plug-in or a standalone app, for producers who master their own tracks. It runs on Windows 7, 8 and 10 and on macOS 10.14 Mojave to 13 Ventura, on Intel and Apple silicon Macs.

iZotope Ozone 9 is a previous version

The version in iZotope’s Ozone 9 user guide is 9.13.0. iZotope followed Ozone 9 with Ozone 10 in 2022, Ozone 11 in 2023 and Ozone 12 in 2025. iZotope does not list Ozone 9 for macOS 14 Sonoma or later, so on a newer Mac choose Ozone 12. Ozone 9 is the last Ozone with the standalone Ozone app.

What’s included

The Ozone 9 plug-in and the standalone app, with the Master Assistant, signal chain, Referencing, Codec Preview and Dither. Advanced includes these modules, each also as its own plug-in: Dynamic EQ, Dynamics, Equalizer, Exciter, Imager, Low End Focus, Master Rebalance, Match EQ, Maximizer, Spectral Shaper, Vintage Compressor, Vintage EQ, Vintage Limiter and Vintage Tape.

Ozone 9 Standard vs Advanced

Standard has Dynamic EQ, Dynamics, Equalizer, Exciter, Imager, Match EQ, Maximizer, the four Vintage modules, Dither and Referencing. Advanced adds Low End Focus, Master Rebalance, Spectral Shaper, Codec Preview and the separate component plug-ins.

What is the difference between Ozone 9 and Ozone 10?

Ozone 10 (2022) adds the Stabilizer and Impact modules in Advanced, a new Master Assistant with width matching, Maximizer Soft Clip and Imager Recover Sides. It no longer has the standalone app, which Ozone 9 still includes.

What are the iZotope Ozone 9 system requirements?

iZotope lists Ozone 9 for Windows 7, 8 and 10, and for macOS 10.14 Mojave to 13 Ventura (Ventura from version 9.13.0). It is not listed for macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

Does Ozone 9 run on a Mac?
