Toontrack's flagship drum sampler: over 230 GB of multi-mic drums, a mixer with 35 effects, MIDI grooves and audio-to-MIDI tracking.

Superior Drummer 3 is Toontrack’s flagship drum sampler and production software, for producers, mix engineers and drummers who want full control over every mic and kit piece. It pairs a large multi-mic acoustic drum library with a built-in mixer, effects, a MIDI library and audio-to-MIDI tracking. It runs on Windows 10 or newer and macOS 10.13 or higher (Intel or Apple silicon), as a VST, AU or AAX plug-in or standalone, and needs a lot of disk space.

What is Superior Drummer 3?

Superior Drummer 3 is the current version of Toontrack’s Superior Drummer, now at version 3.4.4 (March 2026). It follows Superior Drummer 2. Where Toontrack EZdrummer 3 is built for quick songwriting, Superior Drummer 3 gives you the full studio session: room mics, surround and the raw sound of each drum.
