Toontrack EZbass

EZbass is Toontrack’s bass guitar software, for songwriters and producers who need a realistic electric bass without recording one. It has two sampled basses, presets with amp and cab simulation, and bass MIDI for a range of styles. It runs on Windows 10 or newer and macOS 10.13 or later (Intel or Apple silicon), as a VST3, AU or AAX plug-in or as a standalone app.

What is EZbass?

EZbass is the bass instrument in Toontrack’s EZ line of software, alongside EZdrummer and EZkeys. It is the current version, now at 1.3.4 (May 2026); there is no EZbass 2. Each bass was sampled with its bridge and neck pickups recorded separately, so you can shape the tone the way a bass player would.

• Formats: VST3, AU and AAX in a 64-bit host, plus a standalone app
• Hosts named by Toontrack: Ableton Live 10+, Logic Pro 10+, Pro Tools 12+, REAPER 6+ and Cubase 6+
• An internet connection to download and install
