Output Exhale

Output Exhale is a vocal instrument for Kontakt that turns real vocal performances into sounds you play from your keyboard as notes, loops or slices. It is for producers and composers who want modern vocal textures without recording a singer. It needs the free Kontakt Player or full Kontakt, version 5.8.1 or higher, on Windows 7 or higher or macOS 10.12 or higher.

What is Output Exhale?

Output calls Exhale a modern vocal engine. It is built from performances by session singers, band leaders and choral ensembles, shaped by over 20 sound designers into around 10 GB of raw material. It plays inside Kontakt in any major DAW that loads VST, VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins.

Exhale has three modes: Notes, which plays the vocals chromatically, plus Loops and Slices.

Key features

• 500 presets
• Three modes: Notes (chromatic), Loops and Slices
• Custom FX presets and custom macros for each preset
• Macro editing on the Main and Engine pages
• Automatable insert and modulation effects
• NKS-ready for Komplete Kontrol keyboards and Maschine, with Snapshots for Maschine

What’s included

• The Exhale instrument for Kontakt
• 500 presets
• Around 10 GB of raw vocal material

Output also sells three expansion packs for Exhale, each with over 100 presets: Barely Vocals, Indie Vocals and Ambient Vocals. They are not part of this product.

Kontakt Player or full Kontakt?

Exhale runs in the free Kontakt Player, so you do not need full Kontakt to use it. It runs in full Kontakt too: if you want the full sampler with its own Factory Library, see Native Instruments Kontakt 8. Exhale is not a standalone plug-in of its own.

System requirements

• Windows: Windows 7 or higher

• RAM: 4 GB, 8 GB recommended
